Lake Herring

Lake Herring, or Cisco, a food fish abundant in the Great Lakes. It is found also in other lakes from the Yukon and Nova Scotia to Indiana and Vermont. It grows to a length of two feet (60 cm).

The cisco is Coregonus artedii of the family Salmonidae.
